BMW's M division continues to celebrate its fiftieth anniversary with an entirely new addition to the limited model range of the BMW M8 Competitiveness Coupe. It was unveiled by the Indian branch of the brand, and is said to be limited to 10 copies locally, starting at US$312,115.
Multiple colors
The color palette was expanded to include M Isle of Man Green, M Brooklyn Gray and Aventurine Red. These join the individual finishes available, such as Daytona Beach Blue, exclusive to fiftieth anniversary models, Frozen Marina Bay Blue, Frozen Brilliant White, Frozen Deep Gray, and Frozen Deep Green. The classic BMW logo adorns the car at the front, rear and on the wheels.
Other exclusive benefits
Other features include a high-gloss black finish for the grille, 20-inch dark black wheels that revolve around red brake tweezers, the M sports exhaust system, competition decals, M Alcantara lining, and M seat belts. Karman Kardon's premium sound is also included, along with the optional Bowers & Wilkins system. It comes with the top display, wireless charging pad, smartphone integration, 12.3-inch digital toolkit, 12.3-inch infotainment system, surround view camera system, and many more.
Driving force
Power is supplied by the same engine found in the rest of the M8 Competition range, a 4.4-liter dual-charger V8 engine with 625 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque allowing the M8 Competition Coupe to reach 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds. It distributes the xDrive all-wheel drive system which is optimized by the M partition Thrust between the front and rear axles. The power is directed to the wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. These limited editions of this car, which will not exceed ten, can be customized by each owner as well and add the other features that BMW has to offer.
