This week, several spy images of cars under test went viral, most notably the successor to Lamborghini Aventador and Porsche 911 GTS with a hybrid system for the first time.
Lamborghini Aventador
A prototype of Lamborghini Aventador's successor has been spotted again and reveals a lot of details dedicated to the production model. Aventador has been with us for more than a decade, and last summer Lamborghini unveiled the final development of the car in the form of the Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimai. The production process of its successor is expected to begin in 2023, which means it is likely to be unveiled late this year or early next year.
Unlike the clean lines of the original Aventador, its successor seems to be taking on a bolder and more brutal design. The effects seem to have come from the 2017 Terzo Milenio concept, especially for Lamborghini Y-style lights in the taillights. At the same time, the headlights look like they have a split design, which is what we saw in Terzo Milinho as well.
BMW i5
It's been a lot of time since we've seen prototypes of the all-electric BMW Fifth Series. The first car we see is covered from front to rear with a silver lid, but this is not heavy tarpaulin. The part around the driver's door is wrapped, giving us a closer look at the details along the side. There is a clear ascending slope of the lower body line, but the side mirrors and columns are very similar to the current fifth series. When zooming in on the front casing of the car, we can see that this i5 40, so we can consider the low-spec design.
The second prototype i5 wears the familiar camouflage casing that we have seen before. By embracing the body tightly, we can clearly see the outlines of the grid surrounded by smaller headlights. We can also see the grid, and the outline of the M. badge can be seen. If that's not enough to convince you that this is an i5 M60, check the windshield tag. The i5 M60 label is printed and is clearly visible through the glass.

Porsche 911 GTS Hybrid
Earlier in 2022, a standard 911 hybrid test was discovered at low temperatures around Sweden, but this time spyware photographers discovered testing a 911 hybrid prototype around the Nürburgring. And this is not a normal 911, if you look at the central lock wheels, you will easily determine that this 911 GTS. Also, if you're wondering how to know this is a hybrid model, the answer is simple, she's wearing a circular yellow sticker on the back window.
Porsche has done an excellent job of maintaining the confidentiality of the future 911 Hybrid but nevertheless, we have some details on it. First, the model won't be a real hybrid model, but it will come with hybrid technology from the motorsport division and cars like the 919 hybrids. It will be equipped with a very small battery, which will likely vary in size based on the version of 911. This decision should not come as a surprise, considering that the company has said several times that it will focus on performance rather than efficiency. Based on the current spy footage, it looks like Porsche won't offer the 911 hybrid alongside the usual models, but it will bring hybrid technology to all models in the 911 range.
Volkswagen Golf Face Lift
We already know that Volkswagen is working on an improved Golf VIII, but we haven't yet seen any prototypes tested on public roads. This day changes as spy photographers discover that the updated hatchback hides some interesting interior technical updates under the current bodywork. The car is free of camouflage because it does not use any of the updated body panels.
Despite the familiar look of the concept car, we expect the improved Golf to get at least a redesigned front bumper with modified sockets, possibly a slightly modified grille and LED graphics for the headlights/taillights. The new alloy wheels combined with potential additions to the color palette and small design changes will keep the golf fresh against competition in the compact hatchback class. While the golf car has a current I have a 10-inch screen, but the unit in the images looks closer to the 15-inch touchscreen in Torrig. The central tunnel appears to be identical, including the Porsche-like 911-like switch for the DSG gearbox and the wireless charging port. The same applies to the three-arm steering wheel and ventilation holes.
